Hi! I'm Philippa Dodson, owner of The Gnome Garden.   My Dad's idea of good bedtime reading to us kiddies was the classics....... Grimms' Fairy Tales and The Jungle Book being our favorites.  Sweet memories of this nightly exposure to fairy tales and fables instilled a fascination with pixies, elves, fairies, and of course, gnomes and all manner of whimsical elusive beings.    A true English gardener, my Mom passed along her love of flowers and nature and a spirit that didn't find it impossible that there may actually be fairies living at the end of the garden, or a garden gnome inhabiting the potting shed.  So, when I first came into contact with a Kimmel Garden Gnome,  I was naturally inspired to develop The Gnome Garden.  I wish to present these remarkable, legendary, authentic historical reproduction gnomes to folks looking for the finest heirloom art quality garden statues.  A Kimmel Gnome is so much more than a lawn ornament or yard accent.  Your garden gnome will become a treasured part of your family. Candice Kimmel, a native of Wales, currently resides in the Black Hills of South Dakota.  Her workshop produces original garden statues sculptures designed by her as well as Gnomes cast from rare 18th and 19th century examples.  Handmade of durable, weatherproof, high fired, stoneware pottery, each one of her fantasy art masterpieces is unique and handcrafted with joy and love.

The lovingly handcrafted wooden gnome doors and fairy doors, as well as the unusual miniature wishing wells and  small garden bridges are created by a family  residing in a remote area of the Ozarks.  Each item is made to order.  The artists can customize the colors and styles to meet your preferances.
